The Nu Beat Club is a regular club night in Manchester City Centre where you can listen to and, more importantly, dance to vintage 60's Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Club Soul and Northern Soul. All tunes are played on ORIGINAL vinyl by resident DJs Sugar "Ska Jesus" Merchant and Paul Welsby.

Our first night was in March 2013 and we held regular events on and off ever since.

2024 got off to a great start with yet another packed and sweaty danceathon.

As a result we have bowed to dancefloor pressure and rapidly organised our second night of the year .....

SATURDAY 25 MAY 2024

with Special Guest DJs

Lenny Brady & Oliver Lambert

This night is a SKA Special so expect to hear all of those massive uptempo early 60s Jamaican sounds that we love at The Nu Beat.

All the details you need are on the flyer below

The night runs from 9pm to 2am. £6 OTD or £5 with an advance ticket

Tickets available from thenubeatclub@gmail.com or message us via our Facebook page or our Instagram account

The venue as always is The Basement Club at Retro, 78 Sackville Street, City Centre Manchester M1 3NJ. It's a stones throw from Piccadilly Railway Station (..... for those of you of a certain age the Retro used to be known as The Swinging Sporran back in the day !)

If you are travelling to The Nu Beat by car there is on the road parking pretty much next to the club.

(There is a multi-storey car park right next to the Retro on Charles Street but this closes at midnight - so well worth avoiding !)

For bang upto date news on the club and to hear some of the tunes we've been playing and will feature in the future, don't forget to like our Facebook page - www.Facebook.com/TheNuBeatClub or follow us on Instagram - thenubeatclub
